My New Years Resolution

So first off I hope that 2010 is better than 2009, but that shouldn't be too hard.

1. To be more understanding of the idiots I drive with on a daily basis. Maybe it's not their fault they are idiots. Maybe they think cutting me off, or almost side-swiping me is ok.

2. To appreciate the tips I make at Sizzler. So what if it's 1.38 in change, my customers work hard for their money and maybe don't understand I only make 2.13 an hour without their tip.

3. To accept the fact that I get 6 sinus infections a year. Maybe to others this seems extreme, but it seems to be the way my body operates.

4. While on the topic of my lovely health, I will be more thankful for the doctors that tell me I could have thyroid cancer, and diabetes....see you in 3 months. Like the news isn't a big deal.

5. And mostly, I will work on my attitude, some have said it's a little sour lately.

Seriously, I hope for everyone 2010 is a much better year:)

Christmas at my house...WHAT??

So this year, we had Christmas at our house. Christmas dinner, sleepover, presents, and breakfast.....the whole thing:) And surprisingly it didn't bother me the way I thought it would. This^^^^ is a taste of whats its like trying to open presents with SIX dogs....

Everyone went to sleep and Eric stayed up, and wrapped things from around my house up, put them under the tree, and let us open them the next morning. This is Jabin opening up his own xbox controller, and being excited he got another on, just to tell him that its not new....Thanks Eric. Eric also wrapped up my silverware, as a gift to me, and Jabins PSP as a gift to Kade....that one was fun explaining.

Every present Kade opened he said "this is exactly what I wanted"

Ball of ornery

This is Nelsons "ball of ornery" He looks cute all cuddled up in a little ball, but looks can be deceiving. When he is done, he curls up like that and truly doesn't want to be bugged. He just looks at you like "get the hell away from me"

Everyone but me loves the snow

There's Nelson in action, leaping and running around in the snow like he has lost his mind.

Kade was shoveling the grass, and the dogs thought it was play time.

At one point the dogs decided that the shovel was the enemy, and wanted to do anything to kill it.

The kids had a lot of fun out in the snow, I just kept thinking, why aren't I in Cabo right now??!!

Brian and I as Cave people. Most years I choose something that requires high heels, so this was a nice change. No shoes!

Heather and Eric have a Halloween party every year. This years was my favorite. Lots of people from my work came and it was a good time.

Costume number one

Costume number two. Jabin wore this Elmo costume when he was 4, so we dug it out and Kade wanted to be both Buzz and Elmo. Since Kade is in charge, he got both.

Where does my time go??

I have nothing but good intentions about keeping up with my blog. I have done nothing but worked lately, and drove. Work...drive...work...drive. I have Halloween pics to post....oh and I will. As soon as I find a few minutes:)

A day in the life of Nelson

Nelsons life consists of peeing and pooping(sometimes outside) and harassing Haley.^^^

Look at that cute face!! He is so sweet. Nelson is pretty lazy, maybe its being a puppy or being a Boxer, but when he's tired....he is tired.

He's about to crash right there^^^

He cuddles, and loves to give kisses. I think he has been a good dog. Every now and then I step in a wet spot and say a few swear words, but he really doesn't cause much trouble.

Haley would be fine if we gave him away. She tolerates him. Haley(or bitchy ---that's what we call her) has her moments when she'll entertain the idea of playing with Nelson/ Most the time it ends in Haley stealing a toy of Nelsons and Haley turning into a wolf like creature protecting the precious toy. Nelson just looks at her like ---what the hell is your problem.

Moms a little side tracked

I caught Jabin swallowing water there^^^ Soccer is over for the season, but no worries, he'll jump right into basketball in November. And then soccer will resume in the spring. I was fixated on the big hill in the background, and since I knew if I tried to roll down it we would probably be making a trip to the ER I was living through my kids:)

Kade was all about "stop, drop, and roll" something he had learned the day before in school. Jabin was cautious(as always)

This was mid-roll but for some reason it makes me laugh. I know I'm not nice to laugh at my kids...

Kade didn't want to stop. We were actually at the parking lot and he wanted to go back...so we did.

Side note: Jabin lost that game but his season was good, and he loves the team he plays for. Spring should be fun!!

Girls Night Out

This in my tattoo. Anyone who knows me would say this is perfectly me. Faith, love, peace, and happiness all in one. I am very much in love with the finished product. Which is good since its on me forever.

Pretty amazing in comparison to the before

My grama got the star of David in honor of her ancestors. She says its for her mom. I just can't get over that my grama went and got a tattoo.

Heather had the big star already. And we have teased her a lot about it looking like the Dallas Cowboys star. So she added the 2 little stars and the swirly stuff. I love it. I think its really pretty.

So maybe for you girls night out means going to the bar or dinner. But for us we go get tattooed. It was awesome having grama there.

I think if I really let the true me out, I would be tattooed all over. I know better...for jobs and etc. But I love tattoos. My mom has always called me her biker daughter, and I'm okay with that.

Mining in our backyard

Today we took a trip to Kennecott. From our house to the visitor center at the top of the pit looking down, it was a 12 minute drive. (oh and yes, that is a bald Brian)

There really is no way to capture the massive hole that makes up Kennecott. It is the worlds largest mining pit, and it has a road way system wrapping the inside of the pit that would measure about from here to Denver.

Well that's one of the tires on that truck. Its crazy to see. Jabin was impressed, Kade said "wow" and then wanted to go. Brian hadn't seen it either...which really seems weird since we are so close.

Haley and Nelson

Well they have met. And Haley has a love/hate relationship with Nelson. Haley loves to growl and steal toys from Nelson. Haley hates Nelson to dominate her(which he does...hehe). Haley is jealous and wants our constant attention. Nelson just looks at her like, you're stupid. So I think that means Nelson is the dominant one. I will have to take some pics of the 2 of them playing/bugging each other. I'll work on that:)

Whatever

I have stupid Bursitis. I guess dealing with hyperthyroid and a stupid immune system wasn't enough. I have to have something wrong with my shoulder too...YEA!!
Bursitis is a bursa that gets inflamed. There are lots of "bursa's" in your body. They are between the joint and the muscle. Well if your bursa gets inflamed you get Bursitis. And it freakin' hurts. Ok, I'm done bitchin' now.

Introducing Nelson

Meet Nelson. I think we decided on Nelson Shadow...cause Shadow was the name the adoption shelter had given him and he really follows you around like a little shadow. Nelson because Brian likes to give the dogs the "puppy nelson" (a wrestling move) But I keep calling him Nelson Mandela.

I really wasn't sure I could get another dog after Coda. My mom and sister were looking at Petfinder(a organization that takes in dogs and finds them homes) to find me a dog. I looked myself but didn't really find anything. My mom and I went to the Super Pet Adoption and I fell in love with him.

So did Jabin.

And Kade tolerates him.

He is a mix of Border Collie/Boxer. He is adorable. Haley and Nelson have not met. Nelson has Kennel cough at the moment and my very wonderful sister is taking care of Haley for me till Nelson is done with his antibiotics. I'll have to blog later on how they interact together.
